Description
Our Shipping and Receiving Clerk will assist Distribution Center Management in achieving operational excellence, by assisting in various operational duties. Candidates for this position must be flexible in their day to day duties, and support TBC’s / NTW’s core values and safety culture.
The key expectations of the position are to assist Distribution Center Management with the activities listed, but not exclusive to, the outline below.
Job Responsibilities
- Professionally interact with customers (both internal and external) and potential customers over the phone
- Meet or exceed TBC’s performance standards for quality and speed of service to our customers
- Create shipping labels
- Create transfer orders in SAP
- Will need to obtain customer signature (proof of delivery)
- Assist in loading customer vehicles / inbound shipments and outbound shipments
- Maintain all necessary files in a neat and orderly manner
- Perform data entry to receive inventory and create shipments
- Prepare required reports or updates as requested by Distribution Center Management
- Follow all safety practices as outlined in policy and procedures
- Assist Distribution Center Management by providing support in report functions
- Assist Distribution Center Management in monitoring the accuracy of inventory
- Perform Daily Cycle Counts
- Process FedEx shipments: Pull product, label, and load
- Will be a back up to primary Ortec user
- Other duties as requested or needed
Qualifications
- Safety 1st Mentality
- Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
- Team player willing to do what is asked of
- Use of computer keyboard and monitor required daily.
- Experience working in a distribution or warehouse environment
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively while bending and twisting and ability to occasionally lift more than 50lbs
- Computers experience including Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- SAP, Routing Software, and FedEx Ship Manager experience a plus.
- Customer service orientation and a high level of professional integrity
- Ability multi-task in a fast pace environment
- Strong telephone, verbal and written communication skills
- Must maintain a current driver’s license
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Must be able to pass a criminal Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Screen
