Description
The Sr. Credit Analyst for TBC Corporate Services will be responsible for reviewing credit worthiness of businesses for more complex companies, developing/maintaining internal and external relationships, monitoring risk, managing account risk tolerances, updating customer master data, managing global credit reviews for $1M+ credit lines and policy compliance for TBC Credit.
This role will be a Hybrid work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Interface with sales organization to communicate credit decisions and ensure timely review of new, existing as well as customers brought on through acquisitions.
- Negotiate documentation with customers according to TBC policy to ensure credit extensions are properly secured.
- Obtain signed security agreements from customers, work with the Legal department to ensure the agreement is in the best interest of TBC.
- Collaborate with the Legal department on UCC’s that need to be renewed monthly.
- Work independently to make credit decisions within assigned authority.
- Review and interpret financial statements along with outside credit agency reports (e.g., D&B, Equifax) for the purpose of establishing/updating credit lines.
- Responsible for yearly review of all lines over $1M to ensure there is no risk to TBC, financial documents are current and proper security agreements are up to date.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations quarterly with upper management to review line increases of $1M.
- Responsible for updating and monitoring the risk management portfolio monthly.
- Responsible for collaborating with brokers on international customers to secure insurance.
- Proactively research credit lines and risk categories within the ERP system and work with the Corporate Credit Manager to strategize and eliminate any risk exposure to the business.
- Produce and review monthly credit reports with Corporate Credit Manager, Collections Manager and Global Director of AR to determine areas of improvement.
- Assist in developing and standardizing written policy documentation related to the credit process.
- Mentor Credit Analysts in Mexico by supporting, advising, and guiding them. Get to know them and the challenges they are facing. Use their understanding and personal experience to help them improve.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in analyzing financials.
- Possess a senior level skill set in reading/interpreting financial statements for the purpose of underwriting credit.
- Vast understanding of credit reporting agencies (i.e., D&B/Equifax)
- Prior experience with UCC filings and other security instruments used in underwriting credit.
- Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong computer skills- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- SAP ERP experience preferred.
- Fast paced environment
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
