The Search Engine Marketing Specialist will be committed to managing search engine marketing efforts for an extensive network of accounts for one of our brands through campaign planning, execution, management, and analysis.  Qualified Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years direct experience with  Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Paid Search (SEM).  Familiarity with 3rd party bidding tools, Social Media, and other Digital Marketing programs is a plus.                                                                                                                                                                                                    

The search engine marketing specialist is an integral role executing the all of the day to day management of the paid search program across the entire network and will serve as the liaison between the local advertising agencies and the brand in communication, media planning, monitoring and management. This person will report directly to the Senior Manager of Digital Paid Media, and is responsible for analyzing and executing paid search strategies, ensuring that all deliverables are executed on time and produce a high standard of quality for all client deliverables. Ideally, candidates have experience working on multiple paid search accounts simultaneously, and have worked on campaigns that have strong local intent. This person will manage multiple local paid search budgets & help in reconciling these as well as monitor paid search account performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and manage online paid search campaigns, such as PPC, retargeting  and YouTube Paid Ads across various digital marketing media placement types: paid search, display and video.
  • Improve PPC ad delivery and account performance by optimizing for quality score and using conversion tracking, negative keywords, geo-targeting, day parting etc.
  • Experience in ad copy creation and optimization including A/B test creatives.
  • Track, report, and provide analysis on all performance metrics for paid marketing campaigns this includes internal and external/competitor analysis.
  • Monitor account performance for multiple accounts
  • Pull raw data, and put into presentation format for local ad agencies and executive business teams
  • Provide actionable insights and analysis of paid search performance
  • Schedule regular calls/meetings with agencies for media planning & reporting
  • Manage campaign expenses by staying within defined budget, monthly budget pacing, estimating monthly costs, and reconciliation.
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization
  • Leverage internal and external analytical tools (Google Analytics is preferred) to understand and maximize performance
  • Attend meetings and calls as required


  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and Website Analytics (Google Analytics preferred)
  • Google AdWords Professional Certification Preferred
  • Experience using Kenshoo, Google Adwords Google Adwords Editor and Bing AdCenter and Google Analytics
  • Remain current on all search engine marketing strategies, best practices and trends
  • Desire to think strategically, proactively and creatively, focusing on innovative and measurable solutions.
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with multiple digital marketing teams such as CRM, Social Media, Web Analytics, Brand Reputation Management and Web Development teams.
  • Prioritize tasks and effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
  • Required: hands on knowledge of best practices in SEM and a proven track-record of delivering qualified traffic from both an acquisition and conversion standpoint
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors, agencies, affiliates and partners
  • Highly Proficient MS Office, with special focus on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong self –motivation skills and integrity
