The Risk Specialist will be responsible for providing professional support to the Risk Management department in all aspects of the company’s insurance, claims, and risk management programs.

Job Responsibilites

  • Assist in various aspects of claims including the receipt and review of all accident/incident reports, associated documentation, and investigation and reporting of claims/incidents to the TPA. 

  • Provide external communication to operational personnel and our customer base.

  • Set up and maintain electronic files on all open claims, update file notes when necessary, and close claims upon completion.

  • Updating the claim information and medical records with the TPA and applicable insurance carriers.

  • Track post-incident drug screens per company policy.

  • Assist the Claims Administrator with litigated claims and gathering information for lawsuit discovery responses.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 4 years of insurance experience, worker’s compensation, and/or similar experience or training.

  • Strong computer skills- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally

  • Strong problem solving and customer service skills

  • Able to operate in a fast paced environment
