The Retail Marketing & Merchandising Analyst I is responsible for developing, implementing and executing the retail pricing and store/market level inventory strategies for assigned TBC retail stores/markets (Tire Kingdom and NTB).  Working in conjunction with the Retail Marketing & Merchandising Manager, the Analyst I will develop and implement market-based segmentation strategies for all product lines ensuring competiveness, responsiveness and coverage. Further, the Retail Merchandising & Marketing Analyst I will also perform analyses and modeling to maximize profit and volume opportunities.


The Retail Marketing & Merchandising Analyst I will also compile and evaluate competitive data and develop an awareness of the marketplace to shape decision making. Lastly, The Retail Marketing & Merchandising Analyst I will play a key role in defining new business processes, implementing and maintaining the pricing and store inventory levels.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Analyze assigned markets to help assess the correct pricing and positioning for products.
  2. Establish metrics to track the impact of retail pricing changes for assigned markets.
  3. Gather competitor data while analyzing their retail pricing strategies, sales, and/or promotions.
  4. Develop product and pricing strategies tailored to meet the needs of assigned markets.
  5. Manage the analytics around pricing activities for price changes utilizing optimization tools, generating reports, creating spreadsheets, etc.
  6. Work cross functionally with Forecasting team to ensure Sales Forecast accuracy.
  7. Support and provide excellent customer service to Retail Field
  8. Work with and communicate retail pricing strategies and promotions with the Retail Marketing & Merchandising Manager & the Senior Director of Retail Tire Programs & Services.


  1. BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing or other related field preferred
  2. 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  3. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  4. Working knowledge of Cognos, Microsoft Access a plus
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Working knowledge of tires, wheels and related items a plus.
  7. Ability to balance multiple priorities
  8. Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision
  9. Demonstrates ability to work well with others & various related groups
