The Retail Marketing and Merchandising Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing the retail pricing and store/market level inventory strategies for all TBC retail stores (Tire Kingdom, and NTB).  Working in conjunction with the Director of Retail Marketing and Merchandising, Manager will develop and implement market-based segmentation strategies for all product lines ensuring competiveness, responsiveness and coverage. Further, the Retail Merchandising and Marketing Manager will also perform analyses and modeling to maximize profit and volume opportunities.  Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of analysts, training, team skill development, process documentation, and maintaining KPI metrics for team.


Retail Merchandising and Marketing Manager will lead analysis of product screen changes and oversight of the Retail product screen.


The Retail Marketing and Merchandising Manager also will compile and evaluate competitive data, and develop an awareness of the marketplace to shape decision making. Lastly, The Retail Marketing and Merchandising Manager will play a key role in defining new business processes, implementing and maintaining the pricing and store inventory levels.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the department and ensure work is complete and on time.
  • Provide consistent positive coaching and mentoring for team and perform annual reviews.
  • Analyze assigned markets to help assess the correct pricing and positioning for Products.
  • Establish metrics to track the impact of retail pricing changes for all markets.
  • Perform financial analyses to assess effectiveness of pricing actions.
  • Manage the total pricing process, improve processes to maximize efficiencies and ensure prompt responsiveness to market conditions.
  • Act in concert with product managers, purchasing buyers and sales organization to ensure integrated and profit maximizing approach to market.
  • Lead pricing strategy formulation and take pricing actions to improve profitability.
  • Retail Impact Analysis & optimized strategy.
  • Work with and communicate retail pricing strategies and promotions with the Director of Retail Product Marketing.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or other related field.
  • 5+ years Automotive/Tire Industry or related field a plus.
  • 5+ years Marketing, Merchandising, and Pricing responsibilities.
  • Strong SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Power Point.
  • Excellent research, diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Goal oriented with the ability to meet productivity objectives and deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of tires, wheels and related items a plus.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates ability to work well with others & various related groups
