The Regional Technical Trainer will be responsible for providing technical training support within assigned market. The trainer will be responsible for all technical training activities for their assigned market as directed by the Divisional Training Manager and the market’s field management. This includes, but is not limited to; facilitating Instructor led classroom courses, mentoring, and provides on-the-job coaching.

The Regional Technical Trainer will work in collaboration with District Managers, Regional Vice Presidents and the Divisional Training Managers to create and maintain effective learning solutions designed to improve individual and organizational performance and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Divisional Training Manager and field management to identify needs, class schedules and on the job training opportunities.

  • Recognizes performance improvement opportunities and gaps and clearly identifies and articulates options and tools available to help drive desired behavior

  • Participates in design, development, testing and maintenance of learning solutions.

  • Modifies/revises lessons, modules or classes in accordance clients unique needs

  • Improves training effectiveness by developing personalized approaches & techniques; integrating support with routine job functions.

  • Monitors and reports on the status and effectiveness of training at the individual, store, district and regional level.

  • Ensures information is presented using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, lectures and in-store coaching


  • ASE Master Automotive Technician Status including A1 – A8 certifications.  (Strongly Suggested) -  ASE Certifications A4 & A5 required)

  • Requires 5+ years of experience in the tire and / or automotive repair business

  • Strong facilitation and delivery skills

  • Conducts research for needs assessments and provides written complete detailed recommendations to Divisional Training Manager  

  • Working knowledge of adult learning styles, theories, and methods

  • Knowledge of learner-centered activities

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Ability to connect client business needs to training solutions

  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Ability to foster an environment of open communication and teamwork

  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks

  • Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills
