The Product Accounting Team is a dynamic and fast paced corporate services department that is responsible for accurately recording inventory purchases for TBC Corporation and related divisions.  As a Product Accounting Associate II you will be focused on validation, and reconciliation of complex inventory purchases. You will work daily with internal business partners and suppliers to ensure that inventory purchases are recorded accurately, and payments are made timely.


As a Product Accounting Associate II you will need to have a strong sense of curiosity, be a great communicator, flexible, detail oriented, and organized. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the good receipt invoices receipt (GRIR) control account. Understand the three-way match process and troubleshooting accordingly
  • Calculate, validate, investigate, and record discrepancies between invoice cost and purchasing cost to maintain a proper accounting records
  • Resolve or escalate issues, following requests through to completion, and communicating progress to internal teams
  • Reconcile assigned vendor statements and supports the month end close timeline
  • Identify opportunities and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in special projects and duties as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Assist with maintaining a harassment-free work environment
  • Observe TBC Code of Ethical Business Conduct
  • Support company safety initiatives


  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
  • Strong sense of curiosity, problem solving, and analytic skills
  • 1-3 years of experience with knowledge of fundamental accounting, inventory, and accounts payable operation
  • Excellent Excel - advanced formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Skills, (10-key, Outlook, Access, Word)
  • Team player, positive attitude, service mindset, excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Willing and able to learn new functionality, grow within the position requirements and be an integral team member
  • Excel in a fast-paced, high volume environment; meeting stringent deadlines without compromising quality
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to plan and manage multiple assignments at once
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with deadlines
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and hierarchies
  • Agility and ability to work in a continuous improvement team
