The Master Data Analyst II is a skilled professional with 3 to 4 years of experience developing scripts in different languages (e.g. SQL, VBA, python etc.),  as well as 3 to 4 years of experience working in different areas of Master Data Analysis.  MD Analyst II ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support high degree of data quality by performing business/data analysis, research validation and post validation using various techniques, facilitating data cleansing, data profiling from multiple data sources as well as leading initiatives to improve existent/future processes.  The Master Data Analyst II will be an active participant in the development of best practices for process improvement, value stream mapping process, error detection and correction, process control and process design strategies, gathering business requirements, insights and recommendations to eliminate process waste and redundancies through different methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.

Job Responsibilites

  • Develop scripts, automation, routines, macros to bring about effective accurate results while eliminating redundancies and manual work. 

  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends, red-flags, risks or patterns in complex data sets.

  • Conducts data cleaning, data validation and post validation analysis, interpret data, analyze results, provide ongoing reports and to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data from multiple data sources.

  • Design and manage dashboards and on demand visualizations and KPIs for performance tracking, project status, outputs and helping management with strategic decision making.

  • Conducts constantly PI analysis and value stream mapping process to assist on the improvement of current workflows or in the creation of new ones as assigned my management.

  • Assist with Master Data initiatives and projects as needed for the organization.

  • Assist in creation and maintenance of MDM Team work instructions (WIs) and training materials to ensure information is current, accurate and compelling for all users.

  • Cross-train data stewards and data analyst on master data standards, definitions, processes and related tools.

  • Assists with planning, integration, testing, and deployment as well as participate in meetings with other technical (IT) stakeholders for implementation of MDM systems or related tools. 

  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.

  • Work across departments to outline the specific business requirements and data needs for project execution.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
     

Qualifications

  • 3-4 Year of Master Data experience preferred.

  • 3-4 Data Analysis experience preferred.

  • 3-4 Year experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, VBA, JavaScript or ETL frameworks), Data warehousing.

  • 3-4 Year of knowledge and experience in SAP, Ms Access, Excel, Power BI, etc., and well as the use of statistical packages for analyzing large datasets.

  • 3-4 Year experience Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills; MS Access, Excel, Word, and Visio

  • 2-3 Years of technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

  • 2-3 Year of experience with Project Management.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; MS Access, Excel, Word, and Visio

  • Data Entry skills, with emphasis on accuracy and speed.

  • Working Knowledge of data querying and analytics tools, processes and methodology.

  • Working Knowledge of database and software tools to support data analysis and reporting. 

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Data Management, Systems Administration, Information Technology Management, Computer Science, or a combination of Business Degree with emphasis/major in Information Systems or Technology. Master Degree a plus
