Description

TBC Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic Internal Communications and Engagement Manager with a passion for storytelling to drive employee engagement and enhance internal communication efforts across the organization. This role will lead the editorial process, proactively curating a range of content for employees and executives. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve employee engagement and overall employee experience. This includes creating and executing initiatives to foster a positive company culture, increase employee retention, recognition and drive employee satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads internal communications and partners with broader communications team members in executing comprehensive plans.
  • Create and manage engaging content for various communication channels, such as the intranet, emails, town halls and leadership meetings.
  • Serve as the coordinator of the company’s editorial calendar, ensuring timely and strategic content delivery across all platforms.
  • Develop a variety of written and visual content for employees and executives, including speeches, video scripts, graphics, and written messaging for enterprise-wide communications tools, such as global town halls, leadership meetings and engagement sessions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source and develop content that aligns with business priorities and highlights employee contributions.
  • Craft and execute comprehensive and effective communication plans that connect with diverse audiences, with a strong focus on measuring impact and refining strategies based on data insights.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally planning and executing company-wide strategy and roadmap of programs and initiatives designed to enhance culture, engagement, and employee experience.
  • May include, but not limited to communications, events, employee recognition, employer branding initiatives to support our People strategy and playbook.
  • Manage the employee engagement budget and report on the ROI of employee engagement initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Organize and execute TBC employee meetings, such as town halls, leadership meetings and similar, through sending invitations, preparing agendas/run-of-shows, drafting executive speaker notes, creating visuals and more.
  • Plan key engagement activities and other company events that strengthen employee morale.
  • Coordinate logistics, manage vendor relationships, and ensure events deliver a positive experience for employees.
  • Prepare event communications, including invitations, agendas, and post-event recaps.

Continued Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of TBC’s recognition program, managing nominations and award distribution to consistently celebrate employee achievements.
  • Partner with HR and departmental leaders to promote and expand recognition initiatives across teams.
  • Develop and execute internal communication campaigns to keep employees informed and engaged on company news, events, and initiatives.
  • Support corporate communication projects, including preparing internal meeting materials, executive messages, and presentation content.

Added Responsibilities

  • Manage content and logistics for town halls and leadership meetings, ensuring effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor and report on engagement metrics, using data to inform strategies and optimize internal communications.
  • Serve as the primary contact for Human Resources communications, developing messaging that supports HR initiatives and keeps employees informed and engaged.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, organizational development, or another related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in communications, employee engagement strategy or a related role.
  • Detail-oriented writer with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency.
  • Highly efficient project management abilities and the ability to balance multiple projects.
  • Experience in event planning and/or employee engagement activities preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength in writing, editing, and oral and written presentation skills. Skilled in crafting clear-engaging content that is meticulously edited for grammar, style and tone, ensuring polished communication across all channels. Proficiency with content management systems and digital communication tools.
  • High standard of sensitivity with confidential information required.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments working with internal clients and colleagues to develop messages that compliment corporate branding strategies and build employee engagement.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple projects efficiently. Ability to work with a sense of urgency under demanding deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Organizational and culture change / transformation, employee listening strategies, consulting and human capital experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish /English is a plus.
