The Integrations Developer is responsible for: participating in gathering requirements and leading, designing, and providing guidance on recommendations; advising on system options, risk, cost versus benefits, and impacts on business processes; responsible for integration solutions design and development that support multiple enterprise applications and developing full life cycle business needs; analyzing architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs; coordinating, developing and participating in execution of test plans and leading end to end integration testing; participating in delivery of project and minor/major release; troubleshooting and leading the evaluation and design of the correction for complex incidents; providing guidance to other developers on identifying and implementing improvement opportunities; translating between technical and business language, while appropriately adapting communication style and content to audience; providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members in multiple IBM Integration technologies; providing technical guidance or business process expertise; maintaining a high level of technical competency regarding development and implementation tools, while staying abreast of new trends and future enhancements and leveraging best practices; understanding the development and architecture of integrations and technical enterprise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain conceptual architecture and technical blueprint of the IBM WebSphere landscape
  • Define the operations requirements for system management
  • Establish the security requirements for the WebSphere integration platform
  • Determine relevant scope of monitoring for WebSphere runtime components
  • Define logical integration models and provide best practice design error handling and alert handling framework
  • Provide detailed unit testing and regression testing schemes
  • Define and maintain WebSphere services naming standards
  • Perform configuration and deployment of WebSphere services


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • At least 3 years of experience in IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM App Connect Enterprise, or MQ
  • Working knowledge of DataPower appliances, eXtreme Scale, Java and Python extremely desirable
  • Strong development experience using IBM WebSphere Family tool sets including IBM Integration Bus v9/v10, IBM MQ v8.0 and SAP Adapters
  • In-depth knowledge of standards/technologies that enable messaging, including XML, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, REST, JSON, HTTP and SSL
  • New WebSphere implementations and sustained operational support
  • High transaction volume and e-commerce environments
  • Knowledge of integration patterns and the role of IBM App Connect Enterprise in integration
  • Experience with other products in the IBM WebSphere product stack including WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment, etc. is definitely a plus
  • Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Agile methodology are each a plus
  • Ability to be a strong member of a team of developers on complex integration projects
