Description

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect is a professional who designs and implements GCP infrastructure and solutions. They work with various stakeholders to support new technologies and applications, develop strategies for proposals, and evaluate the technology stack. They also conduct technical discovery and assess potential solutions to ensure they meet cost and service requirements. Their role is crucial in driving business growth and digital transformation using Google Cloud technologies.

 

This role will be a Hybrid work environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, delivery, and implementation of GCP infrastructure and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cloud partners and other internal groups to assess supporting new technologies and sector-specific use cases.
  • Define and implement scalable, high-performance solutions that satisfy the requirements of today’s corporate and emerging digital applications using GCP public cloud technologies.
  • Develop estimates and strategies for proposals and SOWs for stake holders using the lead cloud solution and scoping.
  • Evaluate the entire technology stack, including operations, administration, automation, and PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS.
  • Perform a thorough technical discovery, identifying problem areas, technical and business requirements, and as-is and future state scenarios.
  • Evaluate potential solutions using both technical and commercial criteria that support the established cost and service requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or a related field.
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect Certified and/or Google Professional Data Engineer Certified.
  • 7+ years of experience implementing technological solutions, including knowledge of cloud architecture design, evaluation, and research.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture, with a focus on creating scalable and reliable software systems that make use of contemporary software stacks and DevOps techniques.
  • 3+ years of experience managing clients and/or projects.
  • 2+ years of experience using GCP.
  • Experience creating apps utilizing Kubernetes and containers, particularly on the GCP.
  • Experience building hybrid-cloud solutions based on VM and containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Datastore, Google Distributed Cloud, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, ML/AI, Snowflake, TerraData etc.
  • Experience with automation technologies, Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, and/or SnoarQube.
