Fleet Driver Safety Compliance Coordinator

The Fleet Driver Safety Compliance Coordinator reports to the Sr. Manager, Corporate Safety. This position will serve as lead for CDL and Non-CDL Driver Safety programs including Driver Qualification File Compliance, Telematics Analysis, Driver Training and Collision Prevention Initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of DOT, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), Telematics Solutions and Driver Training.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain required driver compliance audit related documentation.
  • Evaluate KPI data including telematics, roadside inspection data and other data points to provide insight on driver incident management and prevention, tracking, investigation response, root cause analysis, reporting, post-incident analysis and corrective and preventative action plans and training to leverage learnings across the organization.
  • Develops, maintains, tracks and evaluates effectiveness of driver-training programs including new hire, refresher and remedial training utilizing internal and external resources, systems and vendors.
  • Develops and delivers ongoing content for driver safety messages and business specific driver safety programs.
  • Provides technical expertise to other associates who may be assigned to assist in carrying out projects and assignments (e.g. HR, Risk, Asset Protection, DC Leadership, etc).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Relevant experience in Transportation Safety & Compliance in a multi-location distribution environment that consists of both CDL and Non-CDL Drivers preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral
  • Self-driven and able to manage multiple and changing priorities with little direction and supervision
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution
  • Must be willing to travel as needed (up to 25%)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (including Intermediate or better Excel, PowerPoint and Word Skills)
  • Data Entry, Cloud-based Software Platforms
  • Presentation Skills
  • Project Management Skills is preferred
