The Financial Analyst for Franchise and Retail Operations will be responsible for identifying and analyzing trends, create revenue and expense analyses, and explains variances to help predict future revenues and expenses.  Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual analyses and ensures accuracy of financial data.  Assists in the consolidation of financial statements.  Assists in preparing annual budgets and quarterly projections.  Offers and/or makes suggestions to management about findings with a certain degree of creativity and latitude.The Financial Analyst for Franchise and Retail Operations will be responsible for identifying and analyzing trends, create revenue and expense analyses, and explains variances to help predict future revenues and expenses.  Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual analyses and ensures accuracy of financial data.  Assists in the consolidation of financial statements.  Assists in preparing annual budgets and quarterly projections.  Offers and/or makes suggestions to management about findings with a certain degree of creativity and latitude.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares financial projections and assists in preparation of other financial analyses for internal use in evaluating new store development and store transfer opportunities of all development transactions.
  • Assists in ongoing development of reporting mechanisms and evaluation analysis to provide to senior leadership to track activities in support of key financial and operational goals for budget and profit and loss statements for corporate franchise locations.
  • Assists manager and senior leadership with financial analysis to make budgetary and P/L decision for revenue generation, expense/budget controls, royalty collection, credit and payables and other assigned strategic and tactical needs.
  • Interacts with Corporate accounting and finance groups to assist in developing internal financial reporting to meet the requirements franchise development revenue recognition and expense management.
  • Provide ROI analysis for Department spends and opportunities to meet desired threshold of capital and cash returns.

Qualifications

  • Prepares/Peer reviews account reconciliations (Low-Medium risk)
  • Prepares manual/one-time journal entries
  • Compiles and reviews monthly and quarterly financial presentations
  • Ownership of certain areas of Balance Sheet
  • Compiles to internal controls and Company policies
  • Assists in preparation of consolidated financial statements
  • Assists in preparation of certain financial statement schedules
  • Assists in preparation of annual budget and quarterly projections
  • Prepares fluctuations of certain financial statement activities
  • Prepares routing reporting accompanied by the required supporting documentation
  • Assists in ad hoc projects or reporting.
  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in business required, finance preferred.   
  • One (1) or more years of experience in financial analysis and/or related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with deadlines
  • Excellent PC Skills, including high level of proficiency in Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent Organization Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
