The Field Operations Specialist (FOS) will have dotted line responsibility to the Division Vice President and work closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSM).  The FOS will be assigned a specific group of stores and geography to oversee and will be accountable for improving the operational aspects of assigned Midas Stores. This will include sales execution, customer service, bay management/scheduling, branding, compliance to standards, and training/development.  The FOS will be highly engaged in retaining stores, leading franchisees through change management, helping new franchisees become operationally proficient, and executing key TBC initiatives. The FOS provides value to franchisees and is instrumental in the alignment of internal and external functions with the franchisee, their division, TBC and support departments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper execution of key TBC initiatives.  tires, owning the wheel well, driving national marketing promotions at store level (brakes, oil, and tires), growing same store sales, saving existing stores, new franchisee integration, and activities that increase car count.
  • Have a maniacal focus on growing car count at every Midas.  Employing proper techniques that enable Midas franchisees to say yes to every customer. 
  • Effective relationships with franchisees and their key employees: General Managers, store managers, district/regional managers, service advisors, service writers, and technicians.
  • Assist in transfer of stores to new/existing franchisee
  • FOS can be deployed to stores outside of their primary area of responsibility.
  • Execute the TBC Franchise Group’s “BIG 4” strategic priorities:

     1. Grow Same Store Sales

    2. Grow our Number of Stores

    3. Save Stores from leaving the system

    4. Grow our tire business at Midas.


  • 5+ years’ experience in management of retail tire and automotive service business or working with automotive franchisees.  
  • Sales background in the automotive industry. Franchise experience in automotive and/or other retail industries. 
  • Experience in total car care (maintenance, repairs, tires and tire services) at the shop level, ASE certification is a plus.
  • Excellent selling, sales training, and presentation skills
  • Ability to challenge, motivate, influence, and communicate effectively.
  • Results focused and orientated
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred
  • FOS will be required to reside in proximity to the majority of assigned stores/owners
  • Available to be utilized outside assigned regions for integration and in store training as needed
  • Approximately 80-90% travel expected
  • Occasional nights and weekends is required to support franchisee special events
