Description
TBC Corporation is seeking a forward-thinking and hands-on Enterprise Architect to lead the modernization of our enterprise technology platforms. This role will drive the transformation of legacy systems into a cohesive, cloud-native ecosystem that supports scalability, agility, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will blend strategic architectural leadership with hands-on engineering expertise to design and implement modern solutions across core business functions. As a “player-coach,” this individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to code when needed, and ensure architectural alignment with business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with TBC’s digital transformation goals.
- Lead platform modernization initiatives, including the migration from SAP ECC to new ERP and monolith to cloud-native applications on TBC’s hyperscaler of choice.
- Architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across all enterprise applications.
- Oversee the creation of a repository for requirements, architecture design documents, artifacts, and reference materials
- Design and guide the implementation of microservices-based architectures and event-driven systems.
Additional Job Responsibilities
- Act as a “player-coach” by contributing to codebases (primarily in Python and Java) and mentoring engineering teams.
- Build proof-of-concepts and reference implementations for cloud-native services and data pipelines.
- Oversee integration strategies between critical applications such as (but not limited to) SAP, AWS, Google Cloud, MS Fabric, Power BI, and Salesforce.
- Ensure data consistency, governance, and real-time availability across platforms.
- Partner with business, product, and engineering leaders to align architecture with business outcomes.
Continued Responsibilities
- Lead architecture review boards and enforce architectural standards and best practices.
- Ensure all solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with InfoSec to embed security into architecture and development processes.
- Guide the adoption of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, platform-as-a-service, and observability tools for modern development workflows.
Added Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3 years in enterprise architecture roles.
- Google Cloud or AWS architecture certifications preferred
- TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, ReactJS, NextJS and modern software engineering practices
- Experience with modern ERP systems (SAP S/4 Hana or Oracle SaaS), data platforms (MS Fabric, Power BI), and CRM (Salesforce)
- Proven experience in platform modernization and cloud-native transformations
- Bilingual in Spanish /English is a plus
