The Director of Digital & Marketing Analytics will report to the VP of Digital.   As Director you are responsible for driving Ecommerce performance and marketing efficiency by using data-driven insights to make recommendations on how to improve the online business. You will use both online and offline data to shape the strategic direction of the digital business and the digital marketing strategy. You will be an ambassador for self-service reporting tools and will support company growth by taking ownership of the data collection and tag management tools that facilitate insights representing customer activity across our platforms. Job Responsibilites

  • Lead a team of digital and marketing analysts working on various business units and ensure consistency in reporting methodologies across all brands/business units.

  • Create and manage implementation of analytics tracking requirements to measure feature and/or overall website and marketing performance

  • Design methodologies for tag documentation, testing protocols, ensuring data consistency, and data retention architecture.

  • Develop and/or optimize existing automated reports and dashboards that monitor and track digital behavior and sales

  • Use aforementioned reports and available digital analytics tools to provide actionable insights to key stakeholders

  • Measure and optimize for customer acquisition and retention across all digital marketing channels: email, social & display media, SEO, SEM

  • Drives personalized marketing by developing consumer 360 view to improve precision targeting across the brand for paid, owned, and earned media

  • Provide analysis and insights for marketing campaigns and marketing channel ROI: estimate marketing impact and efficiency, return on investment, brand equity, profit, and market share

  • Collaborate with product marketing, marketers, and analysts to integrate analytics into strategic-minded dashboards, program-based reports, and ad-hoc analyses.

  • Connect web analytics data with sales and customer data to derive additional insights, develop advanced lifetime value analysis, intelligently segment our audiences and perform cohort analysis

  • Develop segmentation and targeting strategies specific to various marketing campaigns and programming

  • Support creation of reporting materials for the Board of Directors and senior leadership


  • Master’s Degree Preferred, Bachelor degree required.

  • 5+ years of relevant site analytics experience (eCommerce preferred).

  • A deep understanding and experience with front-end tag creation, log collection, data retention architecture, and data analysis.

  • Strong familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, as well as other site analytics reporting tools from a site tagging and data collection perspective.

  • Strong understanding of data analysis tools and analytical analysis languages, R, Python, Sequel, and the like.

  • Proficient in basic web development code languages, Javascript, HTML

  • Actively stays involved in evolution of digital analytics technologies, methodologies and strategically asseses when changes in reporting should occur or how data is collected.

  • Ability to work through data challenges and perseverance to find solutions and workarounds.

  • Proficiency in ad pixeling strategies and reporting on marketing campaign performance

  • A willingness to collaborate and cultivate relationships with third-party marketing vendors

  • Experience architecting data collection solutions even more so than creating reports.

  • Comfort with A/B Testing methodologies, crafting targeted custom variables, segmentation, and reports.

  • A love for challenges and problem solving to be addressed via strategic thinking.

  • A highly analytical mind with a demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses.

  • The ability to work with little supervision while managing multiple priorities; quickly adapt in a rapidly changing environment and a strong sense of accountability and ownership.

  • Comfort drawing insights from analysis and building support for your perspective, having a keen eye to simplify complex, large data sets into easily digestible visualizations.

  • Well-versed in building online reporting dashboards as well as reporting collateral for various constituents within the organization.

  • The ability to be a quick learner who thrives under ambiguity.

  • A great team player with a strong value system, unquestioned integrity and solid listening skills.
