Description

This position at TBC Corporation requires competencies in three primary areas, Technical/Functional, Relational and Developmental. Supply management is more than simply buying raw materials or finished goods and contracting for services. It is a systematic business process that goes further than procurement to include the coordination and consideration of all up-stream and down-stream supply chain process (end-to-end process). This includes the oversight and management of suppliers and their contributions to TBC's operations. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Core Competence in Procurement Functions of Supply Chain supplier performance through negotiation of KPIs and service agreements with key suppliers. Plans, facilitates, and strategically supports supplier business reviews. Involves stakeholders in supplier performance improvement initiatives.
  • Manages the delivery of the project using established project management processes. Develops detailed work plans for each phase of project activities that identify task dependencies, resource requirements and a phase timeline. Comprehends project management approaches and implements them in projects. Has hands-on experience in working with others on supply chain management projects. Uses project management approaches when completing their own tasks.
  • Understands communication style may influence work and relationships. Uses good judgment to communicate appropriately. Proactively works to adjust style based on audience and emphasis.
  • Actively interacts with, listens to and coaches stakeholders to ensure organizational capabilities and cultural attributes are aligned to expectations. Closes capabilities gaps to ensure results are achieved. Serves as an advocate of the organization and seeks opportunities to demonstrate value.
  • Works in close collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders to drive identification and implementation of innovative ideas from suppliers. Takes ownership of shared activities as part of collaborative relationships.
  • Cognizant of techniques such as target pricing/costing and should-cost within supply chain activities. Applies these types of techniques beyond the bid request stage. Well-informed in the range of markets and how they affect price, availability and overall supply chains. Provides direction on pricing indicators that affect negotiations and drive overall Total Costs of Ownership (TCO). Understands implications of portfolio analysis to supplier volume and market difficulty in supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business from nationally or regionally accredited university. Supply Chain Disciplines Preferred.
  • 5+ years Procurement/Supply Chain Related Experience.
  • Active Supply Chain Certifications from National/Internationally recognized Industry Association ISM, SSCM etc.
  • 4+ years Automotive/Tire Industry or related field a plus.
  • Strong SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Power Point.
  • Excellent research, diagnostic and analytical skills
