Description

The Digital Merchandiser position is responsible for supporting the execution of the digital merchandising strategy, focused on driving conversions and sales for our key product categories on all TBC Digital Properties.  This role is responsible for developing compelling merchandising stories across multiple categories, analyzing ecommerce KPIs and creating a seamless shopping experience for customers focused around product and the customer shopping experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Compile and evaluate new and emerging competitor, industry and market trends/tactics/best practices within digital merchandising.  Continually develop and implement an effective e-commerce experiences to increase conversion rates and improve online sales revenue.
  • Develop and maintain product analysis reporting for Tire America to assist in decision making in regards to product introduction, recommended product deletions, size of selection, category performance, to drive maximum impact to online sales and margin.
  • Manage Tire America pricing; analyze competitive data to help assess the correct pricing. Perform financial analyses to assess effectiveness of pricing actions.
  • Manage life cycle of new product placement.  Including create items, product images, copy, price, positioning, ensuring the accuracy and timelines of all product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct Weekly reviews and reports on Ecommerce KPIs (product and search page bounce and exit rate) and provides in-depth performance analysis – category performance, new growth opportunities, site conversion, testing ideas and customer shopping behavior.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience required, with Business, Merchandising, Communications preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years relevant work experience required in eCommerce.
  • Experience in web site interaction and back end tools is preferred.
  • Previous experience using eCommerce platforms is highly preferred.
  • Experience in multi-vendor retailing is a plus.
  • Required Computer and/or Technical Skills:
  • Excellent computer skills, including basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital and media trends
