The Digital Analytics Engineer will report directly to the Director of Digital & Marketing Analytics within the Digital team at TBC Corporation. This role is critical for the Digital Analytics and broader Digital team – the Digital Analytics Engineer will be responsible for managing critical analytics products, including Google Tag Manager and Google Optimize. The Digital Analytics Engineer will work side-by-side with each member of the Digital Analytics team, product owners that represent our different agile pods, and our front-end web development team.

 

Front-end web development experience is required for this role. Experience with Google Analytics and/or Google Tag Manager will be extremely beneficial to have for this role as well.

Job Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of Google Tag Manager for creating tags / triggers / variables as new website features are released, and trouble-shooting implementation as needed across all of TBC’s digital properties.
  • Installing marketing tracking / conversion pixels managed in-house and managed from agency partners.
  • Day-to-day management of Google Optimize: Creating new A/B or MVT experiments, working with multiple internal teams pre and post test launch, etc…
  • Working cross-functionally across the Digital department and collaborating with agile pods during their sprint cadence to monitor tag quality pre/post launch.
  • Serving as a subject-matter expert on digital data structure, website functionality, and A/B testing.
  • Managing our website session recording / heat-mapping software.
  • Working with the Director of Digital & Marketing Analytics and the digital analytics team on planned or ad-hoc investigations and troubleshooting sessions as they arise.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-3 years as a Data Engineer, Front-End Web Developer, or similar role is required for this position.
  • A very high level of detail-orientation is an absolute “must-have” for this position.
  • Experience using and actively managing Google Tag Manager (or, Adobe DTM / Launch, Tealium, etc…) is also a “must-have” for this position.
  • High proficiency in HTML / CSS / JavaScript / relevant programming languages applicable for this position.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Web Development or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
