Reporting to the SVP/VP of Category Management, this position is responsible for strategic, tactical and operational category management of products screens for the TBC enterprise. Coordinates product screen planning, development and management across TBC Retail, Franchise and Wholesale business units. Responsible for the management of category and brands including optimization and administration of the appropriate product, pricing, promotional and distribution requirements needed to achieve market share growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the category product screen to support and maximize contribution to TBC corporate sales and profitability objectives
  • Analyze daily reports, spot trends, develop solutions and report progress to identified areas of opportunity, program effectiveness and overall efficiencies to evaluate and improve future performance
  • Develop and execute category road map (5 year for TBC Brands) including product, price, promotion and placement
  • Manage brand/product lifecycle, including PIPO initiatives, and brand/product exit strategies
  • Lead and provide category management (assortment and promotional) solutions to key customers
  • Conduct ongoing reviews and analysis of product screens at the regionalized market level to ensure alignment and identify market specific screening opportunities
  • Execute annual category reviews as part of the product life cycle and develop plans to address consumer needs and rationalize underperforming SKUs
  • Participate and influence in the planning and forecasting of products to drive maximum impact to sales and margin
  • Direct oversight to ensure proper coverage and efficiency of tires through regular reviews of on hand inventory, sales velocity, and manufacturer lead times
  • Manage assigned transverse responsibilities (ie., Inventory Quality, PIPO, New Product Development)
  • Special projects as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, supply chain or related field
  • 6+ years in sales, merchandising, marketing or supply chain. Experience in Category Management a plus
  • Automotive/Tire industry or related experience
  • Solid understanding of the OE tire market is a plus
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, Work, Outlook, Access, Power Point
  • Excellent research, diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to analyze and understand the data and then effectively communicate those insights to both internal and external audiences required
  • Strong ability to develop and execute against actionable implementation plans
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with senior executive level Associates
  • High level project management skills
