Description

Zone Vice Presidents (RVP) role leads all supply chain distribution center operations within their designated NTW geography in the United States. Zone VP’s lead service and operations organization for Zone to ensure exceptional customer service is provided at competitive cost levels.  Responsible for approximately 20 or more distribution centers (varies by geography) and between 100-400 FTEs within each zone respectively.  ZVPs lead all elements of delivery within their regional network include service delivery, safety, cost, and physical management and custody of all corporate assets required to deliver to customers including physical DCs, MHE equipment, Trucks, and Yard Management equipment necessary to receipt, ship, and manage inventory with each distribution center.

The candidate selected must reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia or Florida.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute all company saftey policies and procedures with all sites within zone network.   Deliver TRIR and Accident performance levels.
  • Accountability and management of Zone Operational budget annually
  • Manage and develop a high-performance team, including hiring, training, and performance management, to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the distribution center network.
  • Route optimization/telematics neccesary for on-time/on-budget delivery of customer orders
  • Provide and analyze reporting as needed
  • Accountable for all Warehouse operations within network sites.
  • Utilization, protection and management of company assets.
  • Collaborate with HR Business partner to provide training, coaching and engagement of center personnel
  • Develop depth and improve quality by encouraging cross-training and knowledge sharing.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in staffing and recruitment as needed
  • Deliver against customer service metrics (Net Promotor Score)
  • Track and Monitor Zones On Time Delivery Performance.  Provide corrective action if needed.
  • Deliver Operational Productivity YoY for all sites within network.
  • Cost Performance ($ Cost/ Unit)
  • Ensuring all locations are compliant with all Federal and State Laws; Guidelines and Company Policies.
  • Liaison between operations and sales to provide ROI analysis of sales initiatives
  • Willingness to travel 60% of time
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ideal candidate has 10 plus years of relevant experience in a multi-site distribution environment
  • Proven leadership skills including leading the team with a clear vision and strategy, results-orientation, change catalyst and developing people
  • Demonstrated experience leading and working with a diverse workforce (exempt, non-exempt, temporary)
  • Demonstrated leadership in implementing capabilities (process, methods, tools and data).
  • Experience in management safety and quality assurance programs dealing with teams of 100+ associates
  • Proven track record of effectively collaborating with company stakeholders across the planning and execution organization
  • Strong understanding of leading practices in KPI development, continuous improvement, business and root cause analytics.
  • Experience in Advanced Warehousing and Routing Systems (SAP AW preferred)
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of P&L and operating performance metrics.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory / zone 50 - 75%
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • Ability to manage a business to stay ahead of the curve by finding new ways to satisfy internal and external customers.
  • Bilingual in Spanish /English is a plus
