The Retail Training Specialist will assist in the design and development of training programs and work closely in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create and maintain effective learning solutions designed to improve individual and organizational performance, quality standards, and incorporate interactive materials for a variety of delivery systems. The Retail Training Specialist will also facilitate live training programs inside of retail store locations including new hire, sales, customer service, peer and need-specific training, the design of instructional materials and liaise with all departments to create learning solutions/opportunities.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists or participates in design, development, testing and maintenance of learning solutions.
  • Ensures all contents areas are technically accurate and achieve training purpose.
  • Reviews all assigned training materials and designs program improvements on a continuous basis.
  • Recognizes performance improvement opportunities and gaps and clearly identifies and articulates options and tools available to help drive desired behavior
  • Modifies/revises lessons, modules or classes in accordance clients unique needs
  • Directs structured learning experiences.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements a range of training activities.
  • Monitors and reports the effectiveness of training on employees.
  • Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.
  • Works closely with RVP to determine needs and class schedules
  • Works closely with retail associates, in store settings, to deliver effective training experiences
  • Ability to travel 80%-90%, some overnight

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Requires 5 - 7 years of experience in the training field.
  • Requires 3+ years of experience in the tire and / or automotive repair business
  • Strong facilitation and delivery skills
  • Solid experience in developing training programs
  • Able to assess, design and develop instructional materials
  • Conducts research for needs assessments and provides written complete detailed recommendations
  • Working knowledge of adult learning styles, theories, and methods
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
