Regional Human Resources Manager

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager serves as a full Generalist HR Business Partner by providing comprehensive Human Resources support and strategic guidance to TBC Retail Business Management and Associates.  The HR Manager will assess the human resources needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development and drive the appropriate solutions in these areas. The HR Manager will effectively play an integral part of the Operations team by developing effective working relationships, influencing, and guiding Field Management in support of the TBC Retail Operations and Human Resources objectives.   This position is responsible for managing HR policies, programs and practices at the Region/ Division Level for a multi-site, multi-state Retail Organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with the various leaders along with their respective leadership teams to develop and execute the HR strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and execute all HR initiatives within assigned Region/ Division  including Employee Relations, Performance Management, HR Compliance, Talent Acquisition , Organizational Development and Training
  • Create individual development plans & succession planning
  • Work heavily with the recruitment team to play a significant role in attracting and retaining superior candidates
  • Strategize and develop ways to hire & retain talented employees; long term planning, assessment, engagement, career paths, rewards, training, high potential management, etc.
  • Facilitate company programs and other educational/ training programs
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and/or State labor and employment regulation changes.
  • Coach and Counsel employees regarding employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints or other employee concerns
  • Equip Management team with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage Associates
  • Act as an influential business advisory role with Executives to identify strategic people issues, support them with advice and expertise to resolve these matters  in order to drive business results
  • Train and respond to inquiries regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of HR Training programs.
  • Create and maintain appropriate HRIS reports and metrics that can be used to identify areas of improvement/progress.
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Advanced degree is a plus
  • PHR or SPHR or equivalent certification preferred
  • 7 + years of progressive, professional  experience with multi-unit, multi-state  experience at a HR Manager level or above
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda and goals that supports the business
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and influence skills in dealing with all levels of management and effective at developing strong credibility and working relationships.
  • Must have ability to exercise independent judgment, handle highly confidential sensitive information, flexing to changing needs and situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite ,  SAP, Kronos ATS, WFM, SharePoint
